I decided to use a photo of Shuga and me for the Sharpened Portrait lesson.  

Using the Unsharp Mask in Photoshop, I set the Amount to 75%, Radius to 2, and Threshold to 3.  I feel that it sharpens just enough to not be too much.  I wasn't sure if it had changed the photo at all until I looked at them side by side.  It shows a bit more definition in Shuga's overall fur, especially in her face.  It also brightens the gray in my hair.

Shuga is my West Highland Terrier/Poodle mix...WestiePoo.  She is now 15 years old and a true Diva!  She doesn't like taking pictures.  Neither does she like bows in her hair.  Although her eyes have grown dim and her hearing is nearly all gone, she still continues to bring me so much joy and comfort!
